ERP is getting Smart again

The traditional ERP softwares have grown to a level where adoption of new technologies became a mammoth task.  Over a period of time these software solutions lost the edge due to non adoption of recent trends in technology and rigid framework in which they have been developed.

My 15 years experience with the "big" ERP software solutions like SAP and Oracle eBiz suite have been troublesome due to the fact that they were designed based on the "old business" practices and scenarios.  They were not modernised with the changing requirements of new age.  Lot of work-arounds to meet simple and straight forward business requirements.  Non-user friendly screens, huge investments on hardware etc. were the many factors that made me to re-think on the selection of business software for my latest clients.
