SPEC2000 Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for Supply Chain Management

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is the exchange of data/ business data in machine readable format.  Air Transport Associations SPEC 2000 specifications is a standard specification for the EDI messages that are widely used in Aviation/ Aerospace industries. Some major sets of EDI standards are: ATA SPEC2000 The UN-recommended UN/EDIFACT is the only international standard and is predominant outside of North America. The US standard ANSI ASC X12 (X12) is predominant in North America.
